Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This policy explains what information Lavender Meridian collects through this website, www.lavendermeridian.com, and through the Lavender Meridian app for iPhone, how we use it, and the choices you have. Lavender Meridian is an acupuncture and holistic health practice at 314 1/2 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701, operated by Fairy Cauldron LLC.
This policy covers this website and the app only. It does not cover information you share as part of your care at the practice.
Information you choose to send us
Appointment requests
When you request an appointment, we collect your name, email address and phone number, the visit you chose (Initial Treatment or Follow-Up Treatment), and the date and time you asked for (or, if no times are shown, when suits you and how you would like us to contact you). We then keep the status of your request and appointment: whether it is pending, confirmed, moved, canceled or completed, and when. The form asks you not to include health information, and we do not collect it here.
Emails about your appointment
We email you to confirm we received your request, and if it is confirmed, to confirm the appointment (with a calendar invitation), to tell you about any change or cancellation, and to remind you before your visit (the day before, and again on the day). These emails include your name, the visit, its date and time and the practice address, never health information. If you would rather we contact you another way, let us know.
Some appointment emails include a private link. A request link lets you view your request and withdraw it while it is awaiting approval. Once your appointment is confirmed, a separate link lets you view or cancel your appointment.
These links expire automatically. Anyone with an active link may be able to use it, so please keep it private.
Your account in the Lavender Meridian app
If you use our iPhone app, you create an account with your first name, last name, email address and phone number. We email you a one-time code to confirm the address is yours; there are no passwords. Appointment requests you make in the app are linked to your account so you can see and manage them there, and they are handled exactly like requests made on this website, with the same emails. A booking you made on this website joins your account only if you add it in the app with the private link from that booking's email. The app never asks about your health and takes no payments.
The Ritual Letter
When you subscribe, we collect your email address and the part of the site where you signed up.
Practitioner introductions
When you introduce yourself through Join Lavender Meridian, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, current location, years in practice and Texas license status; optionally your current practice, website and professional profile; your written answers; the CV or résumé file you attach; and the wording and time of the acknowledgement you confirm. The form asks you not to include health information, your date of birth or identification numbers.
Information collected automatically
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it does not set cookies for visitors. The only cookie it sets is a sign-in cookie for Lavender Meridian staff using the private admin area.
The app does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools either, and it does not use your location, contacts, photos or camera. To keep you signed in, your phone stores a sign-in key in its secure keychain; we keep only a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of it, and it stops working when you sign out, delete your account, or don't use the app for about a month.
Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.
To limit spam, our forms check how quickly they were completed and how often the same network or email address submits them. Those checks use a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your IP address or email address; only the scrambled form is kept, briefly, and it cannot be turned back into the original.
Google Calendar link
Appointment confirmation emails offer an "Add to Google Calendar" link. It is optional: if you use it, Google receives the visit, its date and time and the practice address, under Google's own privacy policy. The attached calendar invitation works with any calendar app without it.
Google Maps
The About page includes an embedded Google Map, which loads only when you scroll to it. When it loads, Google receives information such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's own privacy policy. Our directions links open Google Maps.
How we use information
- To respond to appointment requests, arrange and confirm appointments, and send the appointment emails described above.
- To create and run your app account: to send you sign-in codes, keep you signed in, and show you your appointments.
- To send the Ritual Letter to people who subscribe.
- To consider practitioner introductions and contact the people who send them.
- To keep the website working and secure, including preventing spam.
We do not sell the information you send us, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing. Appointment emails are about your appointment only.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They handle information on our behalf:
- Vercel, which hosts the website and processes form submissions.
- Supabase, which stores the information you submit and any CV files, in the United States.
- Resend, which sends our appointment emails and the app's sign-in codes, and tells us whether each was delivered. It receives your email address and the content of those emails.
- Namecheap, which hosts the practice's email. When you request an appointment, a notice with your request and contact details is sent to the practice's inbox there.
- Google, only as described above for the embedded map and the optional calendar link.
- Apple, which distributes the Lavender Meridian app through the App Store under Apple's own privacy policy; we do not send Apple your account details. Apple also delivers alerts about new requests and cancellations to the practice’s iPhone. An alert says only what happened and the date and time; it never includes your name, contact details or anything about your visit.
- The calendar app the practice uses to view its schedule, through a private subscription link. It receives appointment dates and times and the type of visit, but not your name unless the practice chooses to include it.
We do not otherwise share the information you send us, except where the law requires it.
How it is stored and protected
The website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Email is not a fully private channel, which is why our appointment emails carry only what is needed to arrange your visit. What you submit is kept in a database and file storage that are not publicly accessible; CV files are kept in private storage. Access is limited to the people who run Lavender Meridian. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you send us for as long as we need it for the reason you sent it: for appointments, while we arrange and keep a record of them, including any period the law requires; for an app account, until you delete it; while you remain subscribed to the Ritual Letter; or while we consider an introduction. An app registration that is never confirmed is removed after a day, sign-in codes after a day, and ended sign-ins after about a month. We remove information when it is no longer needed.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from the Ritual Letter at any time by contacting us.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you have sent us through this website by contacting us, and we will respond to your request.
- In the app, you can change your name and phone number at any time, and delete your account in Account → Delete my account. Deleting removes your account, your sign-in and the details saved in the app straight away. We keep records of appointments you requested or attended, because we need them to run our schedule; contact us to ask about them.
- You can choose not to load the embedded map by not scrolling to it; the practice address is also given as text on the About page.
- To request a copy of your records, contact the authority that licenses our practitioners, or make a complaint, see Your records and complaints at www.lavendermeridian.com/records.
Notice of electronic disclosure
Your name, contact information, and appointment details are protected health information that may be electronically processed and disclosed to our service providers solely for scheduling, account management, confirmations, and reminders. Under Texas law, we let you know that information you share with us, including appointment information, may be disclosed electronically: for example, when we email you about your appointment, and when the service providers listed above store or transmit it on our behalf.
Children
This website and the app are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them through either. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top.
